American Kids Spend 7.5 Hours Per Day Creating and Consuming Media
The 2009 Parent-Teen Cell Phone Survey, conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International, found that American kids between ages 12-17 spend more time absorbing and creating media than they spend in school. The majority of this activity takes place on mobile devices.

17 Million Tablets Sold in 2010
According to market intelligence firm IDC, nearly 17 million tablet devices were shipped during 2010. Apple's iPad dominated the market, accounting for almost 90 percent of the sales. IDC also forecasts faster growth in 2011, during which it estimates that more than 44 million tablets will ship worldwide.
