A multi-tenant Moodle LMS solution for a large organization with many divisions

Monarch Media developed a system for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) that is cost-effective, scalable, customizable, and easy to use and administer.

NCBA approached Monarch Media for help migrating from a proprietary LMS to a platform that has no licensing costs. NCBA needed an easy to maintain, multi-tenant platform for its divisions with over 125k+ users. They wanted the new platform to eliminate duplicates in user registrations, which was a big issue with their existing platform.

Monarch Media proposed a multi-tenant Moodle LMS solution, which addresses the problem of duplicate users. It also allows each NCBA division to have its own site on the LMS, with unique UI and registration specific to the program. Each user only needs to register once to have access to all of the sites running on the platform. During the process of migrating the existing data onto the new platform, Monarch Media identified and eliminated duplicates among existing users.

Some of the LMS features in this solution include user registration administration, course registration, dashboards, courses, assessments, tracking, certification, certificate expiration and renewal, reports, and course and user management functionalities. Each division has the option to choose either an automated registration approval or a manual registration review before granting access to training programs. Mailchimp integration now manages email campaigns seamlessly for LMS users.
